About

Early Blogging Experience
When I first started building websites, it was simply because I wanted to write something. The term “blog” hadn’t become popular yet. I used FrontPage, Dreamweaver, or Notepad to manually create static pages — that was my earliest attempt.
Later, I redesigned the site several times — upgrading from static pages to a blog system I wrote in ASP, and then switching to WordPress. A few years ago, I moved to Hugo, and recently switched to 11ty. While the blog’s architecture has changed over time, the content has become less and less frequent. I wrote a lot in the early years, like a public personal journal. But in recent years, the writing frequency dropped significantly — only three posts in the past six years.
The Idea of Blogging Again
Lately, I’ve been thinking about writing again. I want a place to record some thoughts, but I’m not comfortable posting them on social media. After some thought, I realized a blog is still the best option.
Life
At home, I use a DIY desktop computer running Ubuntu as the operating system. I mainly write small personal tools in Node.js.
I love Emacs. After using Purcell’s Emacs configuration, I added my own customizations. Now it can handle coding, blogging, task management, reading RSS feeds, browsing certain websites, and more. I can’t live without this software anymore.
Other
Currently, the blog doesn’t have a comment feature — I’ll consider adding it later depending on the situation.
